Herbert A. Moore

Herbert Anthony Moore, age 87 of Meadville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at the Crawford County Care Center. He was born August 11, 1927 in Erie, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Mathew H. and Dorothy Rosenthal Moore. He married Rosa Zito on May 31, 1974. She survives. Herbert had been employed at Chem-Tronics in El Cajon, California and then was employed at the Meadville Tribune. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the Korean Conflict. Herbert was a member of St. Agatha Church, Meadville, PA. He enjoyed spending time on the computer. He had received his pilot's license, and the day he received his license, he took a flight with his wife from Rhode Island to Cleveland, Ohio. He always enjoyed Ice Cream. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Rosa Moore of Meadville, PA, two daughters: Eileen Bowe and her husband Bill of Erie, PA and Betsy Neibauer of Erie, PA, two sons: Herbert A. Moore Jr. and his wife Kate of Windsor, Vermont and Randy Moore of Erie, PA, ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a sister, Pat Hasset of Willoughby, Ohio, a nephew Joshua O'Brien and a great-great-great-niece, Lilly Blair. He was preceded in death by his parents. There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Agatha Church, Meadville, PA at a date and time to be announced.
