Isabelle Foster

Isabelle Foster, age 81 of Meadville, passed away on June 7, 2019, at Wesbury United Methodist Community, with her loving niece at her side.   She was born October 19, 1937 in Sugar Creek Township; a daughter of the late Alfred E. Gates and Viola L. (Elliott) Gates.

On October 22, 1956 she married Paul Foster.  Paul passed away on December 18, 2005.

Most of her life Isabelle worked at various restaurants and babysat many children. Isabelle loved to sew and watch TV; and most of all, she enjoyed being a stay-at-home mother.

She attended the Salvation Army.

She is survived by her very special nieces and nephews; Loretta Lohiser, Bryan Lohiser and Linda Lohiser all of Michigan and Marshall Lohiser of Meadville.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Isabelle was preceded in death by her beloved son, whom she was very proud of, Terry Lohiser on October 14, 2013; two sisters, Ruby Lohiser and Betty Shafer and two brothers; Norman Gates and Herbert Gates; her niece, Elizabeth Lohiser and her nephew, Gary Lohiser.

Isabelle will be interred in Greendale Cemetery, next to her husband and son.

Her final arrangements are private, and have been entrusted to: Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, Baldwin Street, Meadville, PA.
