J. Rodney Allen

Rodney Allen, 85, of Conneaut Lake passed away at home on February 26, 2019. He was born March 12, 1933 in Conneaut Lake to the late, John Everett “JE” Allen and Blanche (McKay) Allen. Rodney was raised by his aunt, Frances Allen as his mother passed away when he was 5.  He was formerly married to Mabel Grace Bollis, the mother of his children.

Rodney was employed by Kebert Construction for over 40 years as a heavy equipment operator and mechanic.

He was a member of the Ford Fordson Collectors Association.  He loved his antique tractors.  He especially loved anything “Ford” and would not ride in anything else.

Rodney is survived by six children, Barbara (Harold) Rader of Connoquenessing, PA, Bonnie Allen, C. Sherman (Arvilla) Allen, R. Philip (Dolly) Allen, Leslie (Jany) Allen and Jennifer Campbell all of Conneaut Lake; 19 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his aunt, Frances Allen and a son-in-law, James W. Campbell.

Friends and family are invited to call Thursday, February 28, 2019 from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. at the Dickson Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N. Second Street, Conneaut Lake, PA.  A memorial service will be held Friday, March 1, 2019 at 1 p.m. for immediate family with Pastor Dave Brumagin officiating.  Interment will take place at Lakeview Cemetery.
