James (Jim) H. Hodson II, age 64 of, Conneautville, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2017 peacefully at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. James was born June 20, 1952 in Meadville, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Esther (Howell) and John Hodson. James attended high school in Meadville then enlisted in the United States Navy. While stationed in the Philippines, he met his loving wife of 42 years, Anastacia (Elizon), she survives. James worked over 30 years as a welder at Century Products in Saegertown. James was a true patriot that loved his country and was honored to serve in the U.S. Navy: and in the Vietnam War. James enjoyed spending time outdoors with his wife working on their property and was an avid hunter. He also liked bowling, golf, and watching all sports. He was a fan of Pittsburgh teams and NASCAR. James was a proud member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. In addition to his wife Annie, James is survived by three daughters, Alicia Franklin and her husband Dennis of Las Vegas, NV, MaryAnn Copeland of Vienna, WV, and Jimalyn Hodson and her partner Brian Ferguson of Conneaut Lake; a son, James Hodson III and his wife Reychel of Meadville; seven grandchildren, Logan Copeland of Vienna, WV, Jasmyn Franklin of Falls Church, VA, Christopher Hodson of Corry, Diamond Franklin of Las Vegas, NV, Destiny Adams and her husband Nolan of Bristol, OH, Alexander Hodson and Augustus Hodson of Meadville, and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Audrey Craig of Punxsutawney, and Cathy Miller and her husband Jimmy of Meadville; a brother John Hodson of Meadville; six nieces, two nephews and many cousins. James will be missed by his loving family. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his brother, Theodore Hodson; a brother-in-law, Larry Craig; an aunt, Mable Klingensmith; and four uncles Grover Howell, John Howell, Robert Howell and Richard Stephens. Family and friends are welcome to call on Thursday, February 9, 2017 from 11AM until the time of the memorial service at 1PM at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home & Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville, PA 16335.
