James D. Kneubehl Sr., age 70 of Meadville, PA passed away on Monday, November 17, 2014 at Meadville Medical Center. James was born March 24, 1944, in Meadville, PA, the son of the late Donald and Dorothy Young Kneubehl. He lived most of his life in the Littles Corners area as a child and again for the last 23 years. He married Linda Klinginsmith February 24, 1976. She survives. James had attended Saegertown High School. James was a Journeyman Roofer and worked many years at Northwest Roofing Company in Meadville, PA. He was a member of Local Union 210. He was a member of the American Legion Post 111 in Meadville, PA and a member of the Vernon Central Hose Company. He was an avid Steelers Fan for many years. He loved his family and loved spending time with them. He especially enjoyed the family breakfasts at Perkins, and it was one of his favorite things. He loved going fishing and to the clubs with his best friend, Chad Hammond and neighbor. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Linda Kneubehl of Meadville, PA., A son Chad E. Kneubehl of Meadville, PA and a step daughter Cheri Lea Weaver of Conneaut Lake, PA, three sisters; Norma Kneubehl Fogle of Meadville, PA, Barbara Kneubehl Bacon and her husband, William of Conneautville, PA, Carol Kneubehl Koran and her husband James of Meadville, PA, two brothers; Gary Kneubehl of Meadville, PA and George Kneubehl of Meadville, PA, a sister-in-law, Lora I. Hanold and her husband Jeffrey of Meadville, PA, and a brother-in-law David W. Klinginsmith and Lisa of Sebring, Florida. Eight grandchildren, Jenny, Joshua, Jonathon, Anastasia, Chad Jr., and Chloe Kneubehl all of Meadville, PA, and Rebecca and Heather of Conneautville, PA, two great-grandsons, Logan and Trevor. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews including two that spent lots of time with him while they were growing up, Brian Petergal and Shelly Petergal Haag. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Kneubehl and a stepdaughter, Tami Lynn Weaver Kneubehl, two brothers, infant brother Daniel Kneubehl and Vern Kneubehl, and a sister, Diane Faye.
