James L. May, age 80, of Conneaut Lake, PA, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2019 at AristaCare of Meadville. He was born on February 18, 1939 in Charleroi, PA to the late William May and Charlotte (Johns) McCue. James was formerly married to: Rebecca Smith (Stainbrook), Judy Dasovich (Brown) and Connie May.
James was employed by Erie-Lackawanna Railroad and retired from Conrail as a conductor. James was a mechanic in the Airforce. James loved his family and was especially fond of his grandkids and great grandkids.
Survivors in addition to his former wives include: 1 daughter, Robin Dahl and her husband Charlie of Hartstown; 2 step sons Paul Hudson of Meadville, Barry Hudson and his wife Caprice of Cochranton; 4 grandchildren Sara Jacklett and her husband Frank, Benjamin Lewis and his wife Jacey, Sgt. Logan Pratt, Brody Pratt; 4 great grandchildren Arabella Carey, Alexis Carey, Mila Lewis and Tucker Lewis; 1 sister Kathleen Gess and her husband Jim of Port Richie, FL; 1 brother Douglas May and his wife Evelyn of Asheville, NC and many nieces and nepews.
James was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Sharon Vosler; a son in law, Lynn Mihoci; a sister, Linda Glenn and her husband Ron.
The family will receive guests on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 from 11AM-1PM at Dickson Funeral Home and Crematory, 130 N. Second St, Conneaut Lake, PA 16316.
