James R Troup Jr.

James R. Troup Jr., age 77, of Meadville, PA passed away March 12, 2026, at Meadville Medical Center. He was born July 11, 1948, in Meadville, PA to the late James and Catherine (O’Korn) Troup. He married Sara Andrews on May 11, 1991. She survives.

James was a 1966 graduate of Meadville Area Senior High School. He was in The Marine Corps serving from 1966-1970 while being stationed in Hawaii. He was a railroader through the years for many railroads until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time with family and especially his grandkids. He loved his dogs and grand dogs. James was a member of First Assembly of God of Meadville.

In addition to his wife, James is survived by his 4 children; Michael Andrews of Meadville, PA, Eric Andrews of Meadville, PA, Nathan Troup of York, PA and April Andrews of Meadville, PA., 2 grandchildren; Michaela Andrews and Jaykob Gilson, 5 great grandchildren, 1 grand dog, Katie Bear, and one sister Jane Lambert of York, PA.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by a brother-in-law George Lambert and a grand dog Calypso.

Family and Friends are invited to call on Wednesday March 18, 2026, from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral at 1:00pm at Tedesco-Dickson Funeral Home and Crematory, 130 N. Second Street, Conneaut Lake, PA. 16316 with Pastor Larry Miller officiating.

James will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
