James F. Shellito age 78, of Conneaut Lake, passed away, on April 27, 2015, at the Park Avenue Rehab. and Nursing after a brief illness . He was born on January 26, 1937, in the family home in Conneaut Lake; the son of Floyd Z. Shellito and Cora (Penne) Shellito. He attended Conneaut Lake High School. James retired from CONRAIL as a welder in the car shop, and drove school bus for Anderson Bus Lines after retirement. Mr. Shellito also owned and operated several small businesses in the Conneaut Lake area, including: a bar, Quaker State Gasoline Station, and a lawn service. A member of the Methodist denomination, he was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force; and a member of the Conneaut Lake Park Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed restoring old cars and tractors. Jim was an animal lover and he loved to work. Survivors include 3 daughters, Jeanette Steiger (Fred) of Conneaut Lake; Christine Pastava (Frank) of Leechburg, PA and Robin Myerski (Frank) of Mars, PA. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, also many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his parents, a son Kenneth Shellito, a brother Charles Shellito, and 3 sisters: Mary Nimmo, Jessie Shellito, and Cora Shellito. Services for James F. Shellito will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place at the Watson Run Cemetery. The family of James F. Shellito suggests that memorials be made to the United Cancer Society-Relay for Life. Mr. Shellito's arrangements are in the care of Dickson Funeral Home and Crematory, 130 N.
