James (Jim) Summers, 74, of Fulshear, TX passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2023 in Houston, TX after a courageous battle with cancer.
Jim was born on January 15, 1949 in Kane, PA to the late Erma Lou Summers. He married Margaret (Peg) Mix on February 23, 1974; she proceeded him in death in June 2007. He then married Mary Filson in November 2017; she survives.
Jim worked his entire life in the pipeline industry getting his start with Utility Constructors in Linesville, PA and was most recently employed by Snelson Companies, Inc. He was currently serving as President of the Board of Directors of the Pipe Line Contractors Association (PLCA) where he was a member of the Board since 2016. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with friends and family, especially spoiling his grandkids. He was kind and generous, never met a stranger, loved good food, and telling tales.
In addition to his wife Mary, Jim is survived by his daughter Jaime Kingsley (Stephen) and their children Camden and Dylan of Harrisburg, NC; a son Kyle Summers (Holly) of Bozeman, MT; step-daughters Jamie Bielich and her daughters Kira and Gina; Molly Weston and her son Calvin all of Henderson, NV.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday June 10, 2023 with visitation from 10-11am and an informal service at 11:00 am at Dickson Funeral Home, 130 N. 2nd St., Conneaut Lake, PA with lunch immediately following at Conneaut Lake Fire Department Station #3.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to one of the following organizations: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Educational Fund or the American Cancer Society.
