Janice Shipley

Janice M. Shipley, age 82, of Meadville, PA passed away at her residence surrounded by her family after a long illness.  She was born on October 16, 1938 in Meadville, PA to the late George A. and Ora (Kelly) Sutton.

Janice retired from the Crawford County Care Center after 29 years as a CNA.  She was a member of West Mead #2, Saegertown American Legion and Venango VFW.  She enjoyed golfing, bowling and traveling.

She is survived by her children, Roderick Snow and family of Meadville, PA, Kim R. Rubner and family of Meadville, PA, Roger Snow of Meadville, PA and Tammara Shipley and family of Meadville, PA; one sister, Lorena Bernoudy of New York; two brothers, Jack Sutton of Cochranton, PA and Rick Sutton of Guys Mills, PA and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, H.E. “Sharkey” Shipley; her sister, Marilyn Slingluff and two sons, Robin Shipley and Robert R. Snow.

There will be no services at this time.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.
