Jean Eleanor Miller

            Jean Eleanor McDuff Miller, age 93, of Meadville passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Homestead Hearth, Centerville, PA             She was born on October 29, 1923 in Townville, the daughter of the late Roland McDuff and Inez Mickle McDuff. Jean married Francis Miller on June 30, 1948. He preceded her in death on October 30, 1998.             Jean went to Rockdale School and graduated from Cambridge Springs High School. She later graduated from Erie Infants Home and Hospital while working private duty. Jean enjoyed bowling, dancing, reading, baseball, cheering for the Pirates, knitting, crocheting, and fishing with her husband. She knew everything about baseball. Jean worked at Talon from December 1942 to March 1974. During retirement Jean visited every state in the country with her husband, including Hawaii and Alaska.             Jean is survived by a step-daughter: Joyce Welsh of Union City, PA, two step-sons: Terry Miller and his wife Janet of Union City, Marvin Miller and his wife Cathy of Riceville, PA, a son: Gary Miller and his wife Teresa of Meadville, fourteen grandchildren and forty-one great-grandchildren, a sister: Celia Thayer of Venango, two brother: Frank McDuff and his wife Shirley of Venango, and Larry McDuff and his wife Mary of Cambridge Springs, Jean is further survived by several nieces and nephews.             In addition to her parents and husband, Jean was preceded in death by three sisters: Betty Marzke, March Gray, and Linda DeLoss, a brother: Stanley McDuff, and a step son-in-law: Bruce Welsh.             Family and friends are welcome to call on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 10 AM until the time of the memorial service at 11 AM, at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home & Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville, PA 16335.             Memorial Contributions can be made to the Pine Grove Methodist Church, 9488 South Wayland Road, Meadville, PA 16335.             Please sign Jean’s online guestbook at hatheway-tedesco.com             Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville, PA 16335.
