Jenifer Avery

Jenifer Lu Toppo Avery, age 63, of Cochranton, PA passed away on Thursday April 27, 2023 at Marquette Hospice House. She was born on October 12, 1959 in Meadville, PA to Jane Burchill Toppo and the late Phillip J. Toppo.

Jeni earned her LPN at Biscayne Paramedical Institute. Her life was in nursing and taking care of people. She was always ready to help when families had babies. She could remember the smallest details and answer questions on many subjects. She had a way of making you laugh with her imitations of Julia Child fixing chicken. She will be truly missed.

In addition to her mom, Jane Toppo of Cochranton, PA, she is survived by her sisters, Janet Geiger and her husband, John of Ontario, NY, Jill Toppo of Orlando, FL and Jodi Rodgers and her husband, Larry of Saxonburg, PA and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and a special aunt, Aunt Jo.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ralph and Doris Burchill and her paternal grandparents, Joe and Minnie Toppo.

There will be no calling hours. She will be laid to rest at Mumford Chapel Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Marquette Hospice House, 766 Liberty St., Meadville, PA 16335.
