Joan Hollabaugh

Joan M. Hollabaugh, age 87, of Guys Mills, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday October 15, 2024 at Crawford Care Center. She was born on June 16, 1937 in Franklin, PA to the late James E. and Beatrice (Young) Murdoch.  She married David L. Hollabaugh in May of 1958. He preceded her in death on October 18, 2005.

Joan was a homemaker and raised her 5 children.  She loved hunting and was even nicknamed “Annie Oakley” because she NEVER missed a shot. She also enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved her dogs.

She is survived by her children, Greg Hollabaugh and his wife, Robin of Guys Mills, PA, Marsha Smedley and her husband, Jeff of Lutz, FL and James Hollabaugh and his wife, Charlene of Cochranton, PA; six grandchildren, Jake D. Hollabaugh and his significant other, Megan, Joshua M. Hollabaugh and his wife, Jessica, Jason Lazorishak and his wife, Cathy, Yvonne Lazorishak, Matt Hollabaugh and his wife, Dru and Brooke Peterson; her great-grandchildren, Katie, Nathan, Maddox, Adelyn, Brooke, Kenzie, Draven, Caden, Nadia, Niko, Claira and Hayden; her sisters, Donna Mason of NJ and Debbie VanSise and her husband, Jim of Cochranton, PA and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sons, Kevin Hollabaugh and David L. Hollabaugh Jr., her sisters, Lawanda King and Beverly Simmons and her brother, Frank Murdoch.

As per Joan’s wishes there will be no services.
