Joan Mosser

Joan “Joni” Mosser, age 86, of Meadville, PA passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017 at her residence. Born July 29, 1930, she was the daughter of the late John and Barbara Mosser.                 She retired from the Housekeeping Department at Allegheny College.  Her passion was playing the guitar and singing. In her younger days she appeared on the Joe Ray Radio Show.  Joni was loved by all and she adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the first generation born in America from her Czechoslovakian descent.                 Joni is survived by her daughter, Gwen Shank (Charles) of Meadville, son: Walter John McKofka (Kim) of Oil City, her grandchildren: Jessica (Brian) Carless, Keri (Michael) Huddleson, Charles C. (Taylor) Shank, Nicole Tracey, Lisa (Christian) McKofka-Massey, great-grandchildren: Annelise, Noah, Grace and Madeline Carless, Bryce, Lucas and Natalie Huddleson, Kayla Barrett, Olivia Wolfe, Ethan and George Massey, 4 special friends that were dear to her heart: Joyce Nunnally, Robert Martin, Helen and Max Rubner, and by several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Josephine and Marjorie.                 Memorial service will be held at a later date.                 Memorials can be made to the funeral home.                 Please sign guestbook at hatheway-tedesco.com                 Arrangements being handled by HATHEWAY-TEDESCO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 614 BALDWIN STREET, MEADVILLE, PA 16335
