Joan Watt

Joni (Hecker) Watt, age 67, of Vernon Township, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2020 at home with her family, after a yearlong battle with cancer.  She was born on February 12, 1953 in Meadville, PA to the late Raymond and Jenny (Kozwara) Hecker.  She married Stephen Watt on December 29, 1994.  He survives.

Joni graduated from Meadville High School.  She was employed at Free-Col Laboratories and co-owned and operated Kearns Car Care.

She was a member of Vernon Central Hose Company where she enjoyed playing tickets.  She also enjoyed reading and spoiling her grandchildren.  Joni enjoyed gardening and it was evident by the many flowers she tended around her home.  She was selected as Gardener of the Month by the Meadville Garden Club this past year.

In addition to her husband, Steve, Joni is survived by four sons, Jim Agnew and his wife, Jean of Meadville, Brett Agnew and his housekeeper, Jackie of Meadville, Chad Kearns and his wife, Michelle of Meadville and Kris Kearns and his wife, Michele of Meadville; ten grandchildren, Kyle, Nate, Kelsey, Austin, Noah, Sophie, Jack, Cody, Connor and Kaitlyn; her beloved dog, Max;  one sister, Babbie Maloney and her husband, Bob of Cochranton and sister-in-law, Corine Hecker of Saegertown.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Edward Hecker.
