Joann Corey

JoAnn Troglione Cory, age 71 of Meadville, PA died Sunday, July 21, 2013 at the Crawford County Care Center. She was born on December 17, 1941, in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of the late Vincent Troglione and Mary Ann (Kordic) Troglione. She married Philip Cory in May of l990. She was a 1959 Graduate of Meadville High School. She had been employed by Allegheny College and Meadville City Hospital prior to her retirement. She had attended St. Agatha's Church, Meadville, PA. She loved spending time with grandchildren and enjoyed cooking and gardening. She is survived by her husband, Philip Cory of Meadville, PA., a daughter, Leslie Nearhoof and her husband, David of Pittsburgh, PA., two sons, Michael Sweeney and his wife, Kelly of Pittsburgh, PA., and Patrick Sweeney and his wife, Joanie of Pittsburgh, PA; nine grandchildren, Brandon Sweeney, BreAnne Sweeney, Britney Sweeney, Bradley Sweeney all of Birmingham, Michigan, Ryan Nearhoof, Nolan Nearhoof, Owen Nearhoff, Bainer Sweeney, Benjamin Sweeney all of Pittsburgh, PA, two great-grandchildren Emma Sweeney and Ella Sweeney; four sisters, Janet Peterson and her husband, Gail of Meadville, PA., Eileen Gleman of Lakeworth, IL, Marilyn McNulty and her husband, Larry of Charlotte, NC and Nancy Sook of Myrtle Beach, NC; a brother, Ronald Troglione and his wife, Karen of Asheville, NC, her step-children, Janice Cory and Joyce Cory both of Cambridge Springs, PA, and Jeff Cory of Meadville, PA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, James Sweeney. Calling hour will be held from 10 AM until the time of the Memorial Mass at 11 AM at Our Lady Queen of Americas Church, 155 S Ninth Street, Conneaut Lake, PA with Rev. Father Jeffrey Lucas, as Celebrant.
