Joanne Balandran

Joanne Marie Balandran, age 62, of Saegertown passed away Thursday, June 18, 2020 at her residence with family by her side.  She was born on June 6, 1958 in Pittsburgh, PA to Julie Posch and the late Bernard Kavitz.  She married Jay William Morris.  He preceded her in death in 2006.  She subsequently married David Allen Fernandez.

She was a graduate of Collins, MS High School.  She then attended Southwest Junior College in Uvalde, TX for truck driving.  She then drove truck for U.S. Express and came off the road to drive for Clair J. Ferry and P.M. Busing for Saegertown schools.

Joanne enjoyed crocheting and cross stitch.  Her grandchildren were her life.  She loved her dogs and she dearly loved the students that she drove.

She is survived by her son, Jay Richard Morris and his wife, Francis of Saegertown, PA and her daughter, Kristie Marie Fernandez and her husband, Robert of Bressler, PA; grandchildren, Carrie and her husband, Kevin, Matthew and his wife, Catrina, Elizabeth, Baylie, Jesse, Tristen and his wife, Madelyn, Scott, Heaven, Tiffani, Elijah; 2 great grandchildren, Walter and Emily and two brothers, Robert Griffith and his wife, Cindy of LA and James Vomacha and his wife, Angel of Hopewell, PA.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Destynie.

There will be a private family memorial at a later date.
