John Holcomb Sr.

John "Jack" Holcomb resided at Juniper Village.  He passed on September 24, 2023   at the age of 97.

He was born in Erie, PA on September 2, 1926 to George and Gustafene Holcomb.  He married Shirley Livermore September 10, 1947.  Shirley died in 1961.  He married Jane Beal February 14, 1962.  She preceded him in death in 2013.

He was a World War ll veteran in the U.S. Navy.  He loved farming and carpentry and was involved in them either full or part time most of his life. He often could be found applying his carpentry skills for family and friends. He enjoyed studying the Bible and sharing his faith in Jesus Christ. He attended New Beginnings Church of God in Meadville.

He is survived by his son John (Brenda), and grandchildren

Alyssa Nguyen (Pascal), Joshua Holcomb (Tara), Emily Schlaudecker, Aaron Schlaudecker, and great grandchildren, Aidan, Brooklyn and Tucker.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Darlene (Dusty) Schlaudecker Stockdale, his sister Betty Price, and his brother Robert Holcomb.

A private burial will be held at Venango Cemetery.
