John Reiter

John Edward Reiter, age 92, of Conneaut Lake, PA passed away on September 12, 2026 at Meadville Medical Center. He was born on May 13, 1934 in Kingsville, OH to the late Isadore Edward and Mary Francys (Ryan) Reiter. He married Patricia C. Ramsey on June 2, 1962. She survives.

John served in the United States Army and also as a Merchant Marine.

He was a member of Our Lady Queen of the Americas Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council 6037.

In addition to his wife, John is survived by his daughters, Mary Patricia Reiter of Keystone Heights, FL and Anne Marita Reiter Cooler of Vero Beach, FL; his grandsons, Michael, William, Rian and Jonathan; his sisters, Mary Margret Reither of Cleveland, OH, Sister Zoe Anne Reiter, HM of Youngstown, OH, Christina Barbara Reiter of Cleveland, OH and his brother, Nicholas Edward Reiter of Southington, OH.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph Reiter and his brother, James Ryan Reiter.

A funeral service will be on Saturday September 19, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Tedesco-Dickson Funeral Home, 130 N 2nd St., Conneaut Lake, PA with Father Carter officiating.

A graveside service will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Ashtabula, OH at 4:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, 3048 Pioneer Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15226.
