John Delbert Stevens

John Delbert Stevens ,age 82 of Conneautville, Pa, died December 4, 2012 at his residence. He was born on June 4, 1930, at Conneautville, PA the son of th late John L. Stevens and Helen Savel Stevens He was married to Martha Stevens. She preceded him in death in l985. He subsequently married Judith L. Hickernell on Aug. 31, 1990. She survives. He was a 1949 graduate of Conneaut Valley High School. Her had been employed by the Railroad and Highway Dept at Kebert Construction Co. for 23 years and for C & M Landscaping for 15 years. He had served in the US Army He had attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Meadville. He was a Social member at Vernon Twp. Vol. Fire Dept., lifetime member Fraternal Order of Eagles; past life member of the Meadville Club, past member of the ICC Club, VFW. Loved to do crossword puzzles; loved the outdoors, enjoyed going to tractor pulls and going to Steam Engine Society Shows. He loved his tractors and mowing. Surviving is his wife, Judith L. Stevens of Conneautville 1 DAUGHTER: Brenda Stevens Weaver and her husband John of Conneaut, OH 1 SON: Rick Simms of Goshen, IN, 2 GRANDCHILDREN: Heather R. Weaver and Ricky (Richard) Simms; several step-children and step-grandchildren 1 SISTER: Betty Stevens of Conneautville, 1 BROTHER: Calvin M. Stevens and his wife Joyce of Saegertown OTHERS: several nieces & nephews he was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters Shirley M. Andrews and Florence L.
