Jon C. Alderman

Jon C. Alderman,age 85, of Meadville, PA passed away peacefully at home on Monday February 12, 2024 surrounded by his family. Jon was born May 10, 1939 in Titusville, PA to the late William and Christine (Moody) Alderman.  He married Judith Estergreen on February 23, 1979. She survives.

Jon was a graduate of Titusville High School and completed one year of college before entering into the Army.  In the Army, Jon was in the 101st Airborne. He worked for several companies as a construction manager and supervisor building hospitals and hotels.   Jon was a member of the Masonic Lodge 408 and a 32nd degree Mason. He was of the Baptist faith. Jon enjoyed golfing, spending time with family and caretaking of his children and grandchildren.

Jon is survived by three daughters; Kathy Alderman Mathis, Sylvia Bras, and Stacy Tessaro, two sons; Kavin Alderman and Kelly Alderman; and many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Jon was preceded in death by two sisters, Marcene Alderman Bodamer and Ellen Jane Alderman Jones and one brother, William Ladd Alderman.

Per Jon’s wishes, there will be no visitation at this time. A memorial service will be planned at a later date.  Memorial contributions can be made to Crawford County Humane Society 11012 Kennedy Hill Road Meadville, PA or the donor’s choice.
