Jon Michael Burson

Jon Michael Burson, age 61 of Meadville, PA passed away on Sunday March 1, 2015 at Meadville Medical Center. Jon was born September 10, 1953 in Cadillac, Michigan the son of the late John Russell and Helen Irene Eilers Burson. He married Kimberly Mae Gracey on September 17, 2007. She survives. He was a maintenance supervisor with Holiday Inn Express for many years. He was of the Catholic Faith and as a child he attended St. Mary Catholic Church in Manistee, Michigan with his family. He was very supportive of his children and would attend sporting events to watch his daughter as a cheer leader and his son play football and track and field. He was a "Go Blue" football fan with the University of Michigan. He was an avid fan of the sports teams from Detroit Michigan. He is survived by his wife and companion for over 22 years, Kimberly Burson of Meadville, PA, a daughter: Nikki Dawn Burson of Meadville, PA, three sons: Austin Michael Lee Burson of Meadville, PA, Jon Russell Burson of Meadville, PA and Shawn Anthony Gracey of Meadville, PA, four grandchildren: Julia Mae Gracey, Shawn David Gracey, Giana Raelynn Gracey, Mason Alexander Gracey, two brothers: Kevin Mitchell Burson and his wife Cindy L. of Kaleva, Michigan and Kyle Scott Burson of Jacksonhole, Wyoming, a niece; Abigail Hamilton of Kaleva Michigan, and his aunt, Minnie Gaza of Kaleva, Michigan. In addition to his parents; John Russell Burson and Helen Irene Burson, who both passed in 2012, Jon was preceded in death by two sisters; Lynn Marie Burson in 1959 and Lisa Kay Burson in 1975. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home & Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville, PA 16335.
