Jone Olive (Norris) Staudt, 68, passed away April 30, 2015 at Southeast Regional Medical Center, Lumberton, NC. She was born March 12, 1947 in Oil City, PA to the late Pearl Marie Norris and Willford (Shorty) Norris. She lived most of her adult life in Meadville, PA before moving to Lumberton, NC in 2002. She had been a resident of Golden Living Center in Lumberton since January 2013 where she had many friends. She was married July 22, 1968 to Gerald Stephen Staudt, of Cochranton, PA, for 31 years before his passing July 26, 1999. She has two sons who she loved very much: Timothy Stephen Staudt of Rowland, NC and Michael John Staudt of Meadville, PA. She was a housewife and mother who enjoyed supplementing family income selling Avon, Tupperware, and Artex/Trichem paints. She worked part-time cleaning at Seco-Warwick and as a cashier at Kwik Fill in Saegertown, PA. She had many hobbies, but her pets were always among her greatest loves in life. She handfed many baby birds and bottle-fed many kittens and puppies over the years, hence her nickname Goose (Mother Goose). She also helped care for her mother who had Alzheimer's. She was an active church member and participant in many activities at Golden Living. Those left who miss her very much include: son Timothy and his wife Jacqueline of Rowland, NC; son Michael and his girlfriend Janet Graham of Meadville; sister Nancy Luce and her husband Reverend William Luce of Rochester, NY; sister Marcia (Miller) Wright and her husband Paul of Salisbury, NC; and Margaret Norris, wife of her late brother, Richard A. Norris, of Lincolnton, NC. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews in PA: James Miller II of Oil City, Nichole L. Kennedy of Oil City, Chad A. Norris of Meadville, Tiffany Norris of Titusville and Lana Norris of Titusville. She was preceded in death by her parents Pearl Marie Norris and Willford Norris; husband Gerald Stephen Staudt; brother Richard A. Norris. A memorial service will be held Monday, May 4, 2015 at 3:30 PM at Golden Living Center in Lumberton, NC. And at 7 pm on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home & Crematory, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville, PA, with Pastor David Brumagin of the Pastoral Care at Meadville Medical Center, officiating.
