Joseph Edward Kuhta

Joseph Edward Kuhta, age 52, of South Mead Road, Saegertown, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2013, with his family by his side. He was born April 27, 1961 in Kittanning, PA the son of Helen (Corrigan) Hughes, of Meadville, PA and the late Alfred Hughes. He graduated from Meadville Area Senior High School in l979. He was employed with Foltz Construction. He then was self-employed as the owner and operator of Solo-Tool and Mold. He later worked as a truck driver for trucking companies. He enjoyed working on construction projects and helping others. He is survived by two daughters; Melissa McCracken and her husband Michael of Meadville, PA and Nicole Kuhta of Meadville, PA; twin grandchildren, Natalie McCracken and William McCracken; his wife, Joyce Butterfield of Saegertown, PA; his mother, Helen Hughes of Meadville, PA; five sisters, Rita Emkee of Texas, Pamela Phillips of Colonial Heights, VA; Carol Foltz of Conneautville, PA, Mary Best and her husband, Wayne of Meadville, PA and Bonnie Hoff of Meadville, PA; two brothers, Kenneth Kuhta of Meadville, PA and Thomas Hughes of Meadville, PA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Victoria "Vickie" Crowe. There will be no calling hours and services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
