Joseph Allen Linz

            Joseph Allen Linz, age 74, of Meadville, passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at his residence.  He was born December 9, 1942 in Meadville, the son of the late Joseph Linz and Sheila Davis Linz.  He married Peggy Leigh Eells on December 7, 1965.  She survives.             He was a l960 graduate of St. Agatha School. He had worked for GTI in Saegertown and in Hadley. Joseph, along with his wife Peggy, owned the Hill Top Antiques for 30 years.             Joseph was a veteran “Atomic Veteran” having served in the United States Navy from September 8, 1960 to December 6, 1963.  He participated in Nuclear Testing in 1962, “Operation Dominic” in the South Pacific.             Joseph is survived by his wife: Peggy Linz of Meadville, PA, two sons: David Linz and his wife April of Meadville, and Steven Linz of Meadville, two grandchildren: Matthew and Jordan., two sisters: Gloria Shields of Saegertown, and Judy Chapman of Saegertown, a brother: Robert Linz and his wife Barb of Virginia, his mother-in-law: June Hough of Meadville, and his sister-in-law: Linda Linz of Meadville.             In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by a brother: James Linz.             At Joseph’s request, there will be no services.             Please sign Joseph’s online guestbook at hatheway-tedesco.com                Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home & Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville, PA 16335
