Joyce Ann Dennis

Joyce Ann Dennis, 73, of Market Street, Meadville, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2013, at Meadville Medical Center. She was born in Meadville November 26, 1939, a daughter of Francis F. Malliard and June Allen Malliard. She married William G. Dennis on March 30, 1957 and he preceded her in death on November 11, 1962. Joyce had worked in housekeeping at the City Hospital, Holiday Inn, and Allegheny College. She attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She enjoyed doing word searches and did beautiful embroidery. She is survived by one son Joseph L. Malliard of Meadville; four sisters Louise Korn of Erie; Virginia Dennis of Townville; Donna Adams and her husband Will of Cambridge Springs; Bonnie Terry and her husband Carl of Saegertown. Joyce had 44 nieces and nephews, 110 great-nieces and nephews, and 56 great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers Calvin, Alfred, Lawrence, and Charles; two sisters Carol Beggs and Laurel Herring; one niece Cindy Herring Miller and one nephew Frank Malliard. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10am to Noon at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, with a memorial service following at noon, officiated by Matt Timmons of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Burial will be in Kiser Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Joyce's name to the Crawford County Humane Society, 11012 Kennedy Hill Road, Meadville, PA 16335.
