Joyce E. Nickelson

Joyce E. Nickelson, age 68 of Meadville, PA passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Meadville Medical Center She was born December 16, 1946 in Meadville, PA the daughter of the late Orville Worley and Mary Jo Fletcher Worley. Joyce graduated from Saegertown High School. She had been employed at the former Avtex Fibers in Meadville and then at Saeger Carbide. She loved her dog Peaches and enjoyed talking about politics,baking, playing cards and crocheting. Joyce is survived by two sons; Jon "Bobby" Nickelson and his wife Jean of Meadville, PA and Blaine "Buddy" Nickelson of Avon, Indiana, two grandchildren; Jacquelyn Nickelson and Johnny Nickelson, a sister; Carolyn Fernberg and her husband Gary of Alva, Florida, a brother: George Worley of Conneaut Lake, PA and a niece; Dawn Zappas, two nephews; Christopher Worley and Sean Fernberg and loved spending time with her two great-nieces: Brooke and Charleigh and her great-nephew; Stephen. She is also survived by her children's father, John Nickelson of Meadville, PA. At Joyces request there will be no formal viewing or funeral service. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday from 4 until 6 PM at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home & Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville, PA 16335.
