Karen Ann Fait-Scherer passed away at her home on November 7, 2023 at 78 years of age.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ross M. Fait in 1975 and Roy W. Scherer in 2010.
Karen is survived by her son, Jodie W. Fait of Guys Mills, PA and her daughter, Christy J. McCune of Hadley, PA; her grandson, William R. Pinckney and his wife, Nichole and her great-granddaughters, Natalie (age 14) and Averie(age 11), her granddaughter, Katelyn M. Grossman and her husband, Brandon and her great granddaughters, Beau(age 11) and Addie(age 12) and her granddaughter, Garian T. Pinckney and her great grandson, Everette. (age 3)
Karen was an avid horsewoman, both breeding and raising quarter horses. She also bred Schnauzers. She graduated from Crawford County Nursing program in 1984 and worked as an LPN at Meadville Medical Center until her retirement. She loved her dog Harley and her cat Pistol and it brought her great joy to talk about them. She was known for telling tales and ending with the phrase “That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.” She was an avid NASCAR and Steelers fan. She will be missed by many and remembered for her caring heart and although she may not have had much, she would share with anyone in need.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
