Katharine A. Rendulic

Katharine A. Rendulic, age 91, formerly of Conneaut Lake, PA, died peacefully at Rolling Fields on Wednesday, September 11, 2019.  She was born on November 21, 1927 at her grandfather’s home in Atlantic, PA to the late Charles and Eleanor (Vaughn) Lowther. Katharine was married to the late John A. Rendulic in Baltimore, MD on November 2, 1946. He preceded her in death on May 10, 1993.

She graduated from Fallowfield High School as Valedictorian in 1945, and worked on the family farm and raised nine children. She later worked as a cook at the Lamplighter Lounge, Oakland Beach Golf Course. Katherine was a member of the High Street Community Church and a lifetime member of the Conneaut Lake Park Fire Department. She enjoyed playing cards and quilting.

Katharine is survived by eight living children, two daughters; Norma (George) Karastury of Meadville, Shirley (Jack) Eells of Meadville; six sons, Craig (Kenny) Monroe of Espyville, John (Rita) Rendulic of Conneaut Lake, Edward C. Rendulic of Conneaut Lake, Richard (Kathie) of Conneaut Lake, Michael Rendulic of Conneaut Lake, Ronald (Katie McCracken) Rendulic of Atlantic, PA; ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; one brother, George V. Lowther, and many nieces and nephews.

Katharine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John, daughter Nancy Knickerbocker, one sister Dorothy Kashner and one brother Charles Lowther.

Calling hours for Katharine will be held at Dickson  Funeral Home, 130 North Second Street Conneaut Lake, PA  on Saturday, September 14 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.  and Sunday, September 15 from 12-2 p.m. with the funeral service at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.  There will be a private burial at Roselawn Memorial Garden.
