Kevin James McCartney, age 26, of Townville, PA passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2014 at UPMC Shadyside, Pittsburgh, PA Kevin was born September 9, 1987 in Meadville, PA the son of Sharon McCartney. He had been employed as a laborer. He was an on-line gamer and loved the time he spent playing the different games. He is survived by his mother, Sharon Oakes of Townville, PA, two sisters, Alexis Oakes of Franklin, PA and MaryEtta Oakes of Townville, PA, a brother, Michael Oakes Jr. of Townville, PA, his good friend who was like a brother, Matthew Weens of Louisiana, his grandmother, Grace Rice of Franklin, PA. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Beverly McCartney and Robert McCartney Sr., and an uncle, Bill McCartney Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
