Kevin Charles Shoemaker

Kevin Charles Shoemaker, age 36, of Meadville, PA passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2014. He was born August 19, 1977 in Meadville, PA the son of Eugene Henry and Ann Jean Keckeisen Shoemaker of Meadville, PA. Kevin graduated from Meadville Area Senior High School. He was the assistant manager of the Monro Muffler Brake and Service in Edinboro. He was a longtime member of the Vernon Township Volunteer Fire Department. He especially enjoyed hunting and fishing, sitting around bonfires and talking with friends. Kevin is survived by his parents, Eugene and Ann Shoemaker of Meadville, PA ; two daughters, who he loved dearly, Christina Shoemaker and Nicole Shoemaker both of Meadville, PA; two sisters, Jacqueline Humes Aylsworth and her husband, Harry of Edinboro, PA and Christine Humes Cornell and her husband Jamie of Linesville, PA; one uncle, George Shoemaker and his wife Mary of Franklin; three aunts, Lila Preston and her husband Scott of Titusville, Pearl Cook of Cooperstown and Janet Brunot of Saegertown; three nieces Kathryn Klaas and her husband, Micah of Townville, PA ; Heather Macaluso and her husband, Seth of Mehoopany, PA and Natalie Humes of Linesville, PA; one nephew Jacob Humes of Meadville, PA, and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Charles and Esther Shoemaker; and his maternal grandmother, Mildred Stevens McFarland, and his maternal grandfather, John A. Keckeisen. Family and friends are welcome to call on Monday, from 4 to 7 PM at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville, PA. The funeral service will follow on Monday at 7 PM at the funeral home with his nephew, Pastor Seth Macaluso, of the Mehoopany Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
