Larry Bowersox

Larry G. Bowersox, 83, of 21140 Ryan Road, Meadville, PA passed away on Friday July 28, 2023 at Allegheny General Hospital.  Larry was born in Meadville, PA on August 16, 1939, the son of the late Glenn and Tillie (Boyce) Bowersox.  On June 3, 1961 Larry married Darlene R. Acker.   She preceded him in death on September 2, 1992.

Larry enjoyed spending time with friends and family.  He was a member of West Mead #2 and Saegertown American Legion.  His other interests included hunting, being outdoors and puttering in his garage.

He was a 1958 graduate of Saegertown High School.  He retired from Seco-Warwick.

Larry is survived by three children, Kevin G. Bowersox and his wife, Lynette of Savannah, GA; Cindy L. Kineston and her husband, Michael of Guys Mills, PA and Travis G. Bowersox and his wife, Brittany of Meadville, PA; 3 grandchildren, Heather, Colin and Callie; 5 great-grandchildren; one brother, Harry Bowersox and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and his wife, Darlene, Larry was preceded in death by a grandson, Kyle Grant Bowersox; three brothers, William Bowersox, Thomas Bowersox and Dorcy Bowersox; one step-brother, Richard Bowersox and one sister, Nona Diley.

Friends and family are invited to call on Friday August 4, 2023 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville, PA 16335. A funeral service, with Pastor Loren Little officiating, will be conducted at the funeral home following calling hours at 2 pm.  Larry will be laid to rest at the Blooming Valley Cemetery.
