Larry Osborn

Larry Warren Osborn, age 87, died peacefully on June 28, 2023, at his home in Conneaut Lake, PA with his wife by his side.

Larry was born on May 11, 1936, in Greenville, PA, the son of the late Otto and Mildred (Horne) Osborn.

Larry married his teenage sweetheart, Becky Hough Myers, on June 4, 1992.  She survives.

Larry grew up in Atlantic, PA and attended school in the area.

Larry worked as a heavy equipment operator and later as a semi-truck owner and operator.

Although Larry was not a member of any church, he was of the Christian faith.

Larry was a member of Fallowfield Fire and Rescue Pumphouse 45.  He enjoyed playing cards, playing dominos, hunting, fishing, dancing and listening to country-western music.  He also liked to tease people whom he loved, which was his way of showing affection.

In addition to his wife, Larry is survived by three children: Denny (Dailene) Osborn of Hartstown, PA, Beth (Dave) Smith of Naples, FL, and Mark Osborn of Phoenix, AZ; two stepchildren, Robert (Lise) Myers of Meadville, PA, and Jonathan Myers of Meadville, PA; two grandchildren, Bethany and Kristina (Erik); five step-grandchildren, Annie, Dominic, Israel, Billee and Emilee; seven great grandchildren, Aiden, Jonathon, Brennan, Wyatt, Mason, Jackson and Madison; and two step-great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Melina.

Larry is also survived by a sister, Linda Myers, of Conneaut Lake, PA, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  His nephew Tim Osborn was always there to provide help.

In addition to his parents, aunts and uncles, Larry was preceded in death by his brother Gene Osborn and his wife, Helen; his brother Leo and his wife, Pauline; his sister Virginia “Ginny” Nottingham and her husband, Glen; his brother-in-law Brian Myers; his sister-in-law Carole Hough; and his brother-in-law Bill Stewart.

Arrangements for Larry have been made for Saturday, September 16, 2023.  Family will be received at 9:00 a.m. at Dickson Funeral Home in Conneaut Lake, PA.  Friends will be received at 10:00 a.m.  A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Robert Myers serving as celebrant.

Interment of Larry’s ashes will take place at Watson Run Cemetery in Meadville, PA.  A reception luncheon will follow at the Odd Fellows Building in Atlantic, PA.
