Lavon Tingley

LaVon B. Tingley, age 87, of Geneva, PA passed away on Sunday December 3, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family after an extended illness.  She was born on July 12, 1936 in Geneva, PA to the late John and Mary (Harrenshaw) Lelko.  She married William Tingley on November 19, 1955.  They just celebrated their 68th anniversary.

LaVon graduated from Conneaut Lake High School and completed 2 years of Business College in Erie.  Over the years, she worked at Mama Bears, Evergreen’s, Roxy’s and numerous other restaurants as a cook.

In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by her son, Steven Tingley and his wife, Bonnie of Conneaut Lake, PA and their children, Cody and Nicholas; her son, Gerald Tingley of Conneaut Lake, PA and his children, Kristy Carson and her husband, Cory, Eric Tingley, Craig Tingley and his companion, Heather and Leda Phillips and her husband, Kory; her daughter, Brenda Tingley of Conneaut Lake, PA and her children, Daniel Saulnier, William Saulnier III and his companion, Kai and Cameron Saulnier; her son, Kevin Tingley and his companion, Kim of Conneaut Lake, PA and his son, Jonathan Tingley and his companion, Katie; her daughter, Teresa Bucklew and her husband, Terry of Conneaut Lake, PA and her children, James LaMonte Jr. and his fiancé, Kassie and Alecia Thompson and her husband, Jerami and her daughter-in-law, Jill Tingley of Doylestown, PA and her son, Corey Tingley and his wife, Mary Beth and additionally 18 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and her brother, Walter “Baldy” Lelko of Conneautville, PA.

LaVon was preceded in death by her parents; her two sons, Brian and Gordon Tingley; her grandson, Steven Tingley and her siblings, Gertrude Satonica, Louise O’Dell, John Lelko, Samuel Lelko and her sister-in-law, Mary Lelko.

There will be a private family service.  LaVon will be laid to rest at Geneva Memorial Cemetery.
