Layne Picard Sr.

Layne L. Picard Sr., age 61 of Meadville, PA passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at the Crawford County Care Center. He was born on August 7, 1959 in Meadville, PA to Gaylord Picard and Esther (Alexatos) Dunn.

Layne attended Meadville Area High School. He was a craftsman by trade until he became disabled with Multiple Sclerosis in 2005.  He was an artist by heart and loved to paint. He also loved listening to Tom Petty and loved classic cars, especially driving his old Chevy truck.

He was a member of the Jehovah Witness faith.

Layne was survived by his mom, Esther Dunn; two daughters, Erica Bryant (Clint), and Katheryn Picard (Fiancé Gregory Hawkins); one son, Layne Picard Jr; four grandchildren; Charlotte, Ethan, Clara and Caleb; two sisters; Elisa Picard, Christine Stallard; and a brother, Gaylord Picard.

Layne was preceded in death by his father; and his sister Michelle Hazen.
