Lela Loretta Obert

Lela L. Obert, 89, of Meadville, passed away at her residence on Thursday, August 15, 2019.

She was born in Meadville, PA on December 9, 1929 to the late Louis Grinnell and Jennie T. Turner.

Lela married Hubert Obert who precedes her in death.

She graduated from Meadville High School and was employed at Talon for over 40 years. After retirement, she sold flowers for Mary’s Uhaul.

Lela enjoyed her flower gardens, playing bingo, and spending time with her cats, Luigi, Lucy and Cooper.

She is survived by two daughters, Lehuanne Obert of Biloxi, MS and Brenda Hopson of Concord, NC; a son, Eric Hall of PA; grandchildren, Tyler Obert, Richard Decker and Jennie Cruise; and a niece, Melissa Dowtin.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Nancy Baker, and grandson, Shawn Guffey.

Friends and family are invited to call the funeral home on Monday, August 19, 2019 from 11-2 PM. A service will follow directly after and will be officiated by Reverend Lois Morrison. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Crawford County.
