Linda L. Howett

Linda Lou Howett age 74 of Meadville, passed away on June 19, 2016, at Meadville Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born on April 3, 1942 in Marion, Ohio the daughter of the late Rolland Anthony and Viola Anthony. She was married to Robert Roscoe Howett, who preceded her in death in 2002. Linda graduated from Pleasant High School, in Marion, Ohio. She was of the Catholic faith, and a member of Our Lady Queen of the Americas Church. She was a member of the Eagles Club, ICC, American Legion and VFW.  She also loved traveling around the country in an RV. She was proud of the key chains she collected along her journeys. She was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Linda is survived by her daughter Tonja Loper and significant other Ronnie Tatters of Meadville, one son: Jack Richard Howett of Cochranton, nine grandchildren: Shane Gallagher of Meadville, Shelby Gallagher of Meadville, Shalon (Garret) Leech of Meadville, Amanda Howett, Travis Loper of Cochranton, Tristan Loper of Cochranton, Alex Winchell of Meadville and her great-grandchildren, one surviving sister: Boots Millisor of Marion, Ohio, and a surrogate daughter Rosie (Marty) Holeva of Meadville. In addition to her parents and husband, Linda is preceded in death by her daughter Tammy Gallagher in 2009 and Tammy’s husband Walter “Tad” Gallagher in 2005, and eleven siblings. There are no calling hours. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
