Linda A. Kiser

Linda A. "Owie" Owens Kiser, 60, of Saegertown, PA passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer at her home, surrounded by her family and lifelong friend best friend since the age of 4, Barbara McCrory. She was born on March 20, 1952, at Meadville, PA, the daughter of the late John "Hal" Owens and Eileen M. Lenhart Owens. She married Gregory F. Kiser on July 18, 1970. He survives. Linda was of the Lutheran Faith. She loved to have fun, especially getting together with "The Card Club Girls", all of whom were her great friends. She especially enjoyed spending time with her three wonderful grandchildren and families. She was always preparing Sunday and holiday dinners for them all. Linda was a graduate of Saegertown High School and had been employed by DeSantis Party & Janitor Supply for a number of years. In addition to her husband, Gregory F. Kiser of Saegertown, she is survived by her loving children, Joshua Kiser and his wife, Renee of Saegertown, PA and Christopher Kiser of Meadville, PA, and fiancée of Vincent, Jessica L. Davenport, of Saegertown, PA; three grandchildren, Gregory Kiser, Casey Kiser and Olivia Anne Kiser. She was so proud of and loved them all dearly. Also surviving are two sisters; Mary Ellen Rice and her husband, Larry of Candler, North Carolina, and Stacie Callaway and her husband, Joe of Mechanicsburg, PA; a brother, Dale Owens and his wife, Janet of Meadville, PA, her lifelong friends, Barbara and Michael McCrory of Meadville, PA, and several nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and her beloved dog, Teddy, and many lifelong, dear and supportive friends.. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Vincent Francis Kiser, due to a car accident, on December 27, 2012. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Barbara for the sincere, gentle and loving care she gave to Linda to the very end. Family and friends are welcome to call from 1 to 4 pm on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home & Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville, PA. The Memorial Service will follow at 4PM with Pastor Benjamin Travis, of Trinity Lutheran Church, Meadville, PA, officiating.
