Linda L. (Johnston) Waite

We are profoundly sad to report that Linda L. Waite of Cochranton, PA died unexpectedly on Monday afternoon (October 4, 2021) at 5:03pm at the Meadville Medical Center. She suffered a short illness of just four days.  Family was at her side.

Linda was born on December 21, 1946, in Chambersburg, PA to the late Fairfax “Biff” and Sarah (West) Johnston.  She was 74 years old.  She was a 1964 graduate of Chambersburg Senior High School and was a banker, a mom and a proud grandmother.  She married Burt A. Waite on December 23, 1967.  They were married 53 year, 9 months and 11 days.  Every moment was grand.

In addition to her husband, Linda is survived by one daughter, Mica Hoffman and her husband, Bradley of Cochranton, PA and one son, Kyle G. Waite and his wife, Betty J. of Meadville, PA and 3 grandchildren, Barrett G. Hoffman, Rylie M. Waite and Kinsey G. Waite.  The family is very close.

As was her wish and the wish of the family, there will not be a service, but the family will gather at a later date to remember her and share their love of Linda.  The family respectfully requests no flowers, no calls, no donations.  Rather, the family asks that for those of you who knew and loved her and are so inclined, please find a quiet moment, think kind thoughts of her, lift a dram of your favorite and toast her memory.
