Lloyd Smock

Lloyd “Smoke” Smock, age 94, of Meadville, PA passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2020 at Crawford County Care Center.  He was born on February 23, 1926 in Meadville, PA to the late Clifton T. and Eunice G. (Barnett) Smock.  He married Connie Beatty.  She preceded him in death in 2010.

Lloyd was a graduate of Meadville High School.  He went on to serve in the United States Navy for 3 years in the South Pacific during World War II.  He then worked as a Foreman of Quality Control for 43 years at Channellock.

Lloyd was a member of Meadville Lodge #234, F&AM, Zem Zem Shrine of Erie and Crawford County, a lifetime member of the Valley of Coudersport 32 ^nd Degree, and a member of the Kismet Grotto.  He was also a member of the Meadville Lodge #219 BPOE, a lifetime member of V.F.W. #8803 of Tidioute, PA, a lifetime member of American Legion #0381 of Cambridge Springs, PA and a past member of the Taylor Hose Company and the Eagles Club.

He is survived by one daughter, Cindy Quinn of West Seneca, NY; one son, Bill Smock and his wife, Diane of Orchard Park, NY; two step-daughters, Amy Siple and her husband, Todd of Saegertown, PA and Kim Jewell; two step-sons, Scott Beatty and his wife, Marty of Meadville, PA and Matt Beatty; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews including a close nephew, Jim McGowan and a close niece, Diane Albaugh and two sisters, Lucille McGowan of Meadville, PA and Elma Ridgeway of Meadville, PA.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; his wife and a brother, Edgar Smock.
