Lois M. Gladis

Lois M. Gladis, age 92, of Meadville, passed Friday September 27, 2013 , at home. Lois was born February 21, 1921 in Erie; the daughter of the late George J. and Petronilla E. (Johnson) Callahan. She married Vincent P. Gladis on April 5, 1947; he preceded her in death on April 24, 2001. Mrs. Gladis attended Erie East High School, and retired as an inspector from Talon, Inc, Meadville. She was of the Catholic Faith. Lois enjoyed her family and traveling. The joy and laughter she brought to family gatherings will be missed by all. Mrs. Gladis is survived by two daughters: Jayne Marie Benham and her husband, Alan of St. Petersburg, Florida; and Ann Louise Hays and her husband, Jerry of Gulfport, Florida; two sons: Tim Gladis and his wife, Joyce of Hermitage, PA, V. Patrick Gladis and his wife, Debbie of Meadville, PA, and her daughter-in-law Darlene Bulger of Meadville, PA ; She is also survived by the 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren she treasured. In addition to her parents, and her husband, Lois was preceded in death by a son, Richard B. Bulger on September 11, 2004 and her brother, Paul R. Callahan of Houston , Texas.
