Lois Jean Shellenberger

Lois Jean Shellenberger, age 83, of Meadville, passed from this life into heaven on July 12, 2016 at her residence.             Lois was born on September 8, 1932, the daughter of the late Allen George Wolfkiel Sr. and Ruth Mae (Tobin) Wolfkiel. She married William Max “Sharky” Shellenberger on June 13, 1949. They were married for fifty-seven years. He preceded her in death on September 10, 2006.             She graduated from Conneaut Lake High School. Lois was a home maker for many years, she was a waitress at the Silver Shores Restaurant, and worked as a clerk for Cannon’s sport store in Conneaut Lake. Lois went on to own and operate her two successful restaurant businesses, Sharky’s Diner in Conneaut Lake and Sharkey’s Exit 35 near Cochranton with her son Tex and grandson Beau.             She was a former member of the Assembly of God Church in Meadville. Lois enjoyed playing bingo, cards, painting, cooking, and going to the casino.             Surviving Lois is a daughter: Brenda L. Shellenberger-Alford (Debra) of Meadville, one son: Tex Shellenberger of Meadville, two grandchildren; Beau James Brubaker (Robert) of Erie, Quyn Debryn Shellenberger-Alford of Meadville, a sister-in-law June Wolfkiel of Chippewa Falls, WI. She is further survived by several nieces and nephews.             In addition to her parents and husband Lois was preceded in death by three brothers: Allen George Wolfkiel, Jr. of Chippewa Falls, WI, Richard Wolfkiel of Union City, Edwin Wolfkiel of Titusville, and an infant child Kathy Jean Shellenberger of Conneaut Lake.             A service will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 346 Chestnut St., Meadville on Saturday, July 30th at 3:00 PM, with doors opening at 2:00.  The Rev. Marshall Lillie, Rev. Brenda L.
