Loretta Barnes

Loretta Dea Barnes, age 62, of Meadville, PA passed away at her residence on Thursday, December 3, 2020 after a long, courageous battle with cancer.  She was born on March 4, 1958 to the late Charles Long and Genevieve (Feltenberger) Long.  She married Dennis (J.B.) Barnes on January 13, 1989.  He preceded her in death on June 28, 2007.

She was a 1976 graduate of Saegertown High School.  She was a homemaker.  She enjoyed crafting, bird watching, playing video games and spending time with her grandchildren.

Loretta is survived by one daughter, Heidi Smith and her husband, Matt of Saegertown, PA and one son, Aaron Barnes of Meadville, PA; five grandchildren, Christopher Tatters and his fiancé, Amanda, Alexa Smith, Brenna Tatters, Sydnie Smith and Mason Tatters.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her mother Genevieve Long Mattern and her step-father, Leonard Mattern.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
