Loretta Leffingwell

Loretta Leffingwell, age 93, of Meadville passed away on Monday, December 28, 2020 after a period of declining health.  She was born at home in Meadville, PA on June 30, 1927 to the late Anthony and Rose (Quoresimo) Rich.  She married Donald “Bull” Leffingwell on April 24, 1955.  He preceded her in death on March 4, 1999.

Loretta attended Meadville schools.  She worked at Viscose, G.C. Murphys and Eckerd Drugs before having children.  She then stayed home to be a mother and she also babysat in her home.

She was a member of St. Mary of Grace Catholic Church.  She was a member of the St. Mary’s Altar and Rosary Society.

Loretta is survived by one son, Jim Fink and his wife, Irene of Virginia Beach, VA; four daughters, Cindy Hall and her husband, Steve of Erie, PA, Judy Derby and her husband, Jeff of Meadville, PA, Tina Rogers and her husband, Frank of Meadville, PA and Donna Cessna of Meadville, PA; one step-daughter, Sherry Faulkner and her husband, David of TN and one step-son, Tom Leffingwell and his wife, Sandy of FL; 7 grandchildren, Maria Fink, Lori Ingel, Stephenee Kerr, Jim Derby, Frank Rogers, Dane Cessna and Grace Cessna; 3 great-grandchildren, Dallas, Chloe and Brayden; two sisters, MaryLou Ponzani and her husband, Bill of Willowick, OH and Phyllis Rappa of Meadville, PA, several nieces, nephews and cousins and two special girls that she babysat, Tammy Petruso and Heather Tatalovic.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sisters, Adeline Musone and Jennie Adsit and her brothers, Carmen Rich, Louis Rich, James Rich, Frank Rich and Joe Rich.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at St. Mary of Grace Catholic Church, 1085 Water St., Meadville, PA from 10-11 a.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. with Father Marc Solomon officiating.  Burial will take place immediately after at St. Brigid Cemetery.
