Loretta Willis

Loretta Willis age 62 of Meadville, PA passed away on Friday, March 30, 2018 at her residence.  She was born February 18, 1956 in Erie the daughter of the late Earl Tharp and Sylvania Turner Tharp.                  Loretta had worked as a manager at the Cherry Hill Furniture in Union City, and at the Union City Diner.                  She was affiliated with the Jesus Christ of God Church in Erie.  She was an excellent quilter, enjoyed sewing and painting ceramics.  Loretta was an avid reader and a care giver to many.                 Loretta is survived by her daughter: Angela K. Propheter (Seth), Meadville, a son: Richard Willis, Albion, PA, a step-daughter: Dawn Michelle Willis, Titusville, PA, ten grandchildren, 12 brothers and sisters: Dennis Tharp (Darla), Corry, PA; Earle Tharp Jr. Charlotte, NC; Delores Perry, Meadville; Donna Barber (Edward) East Springfield, PA; Dorothy Vanderhoff (Mark) Meadville; Darlene Bush (Darrell), Erie; John Tharp, South Carolina; Larry Tharp (Lynette Hunt), Meadville; Jim Tharp (Louise), Jamestown, New York; Bertha Norton (David), Shinglehouse, PA; Thomas Tharp, Meadville,  Sharon Beightol (Greg Strohmyer), Erie, her sister-in-law: Linda Tharp of Warren, Michigan.  She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.                 In addition to her parents, Loretta was preceded in death by a brother: Kenneth Tharp and two sisters: Izo Tharp and Brenda Hargrove.                 Family and friends are welcome to call on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home & Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville.  All are invited to attend the funeral service on Thursday, at 11 AM at the funeral home.                 Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Corry, PA.                 Please sign Loretta’s online guestbook at hatheway-tedesco.com                 Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home & Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville, PA 16335
