Louise Spaid, 70, of Meadville, PA passed away January, 18, 2018 in the company of her beloved dog, Bijou, while enjoying a glass of her favorite wine.  She was born November 11, 1947 in Erie PA the daughter of the late Leonard Augustine Willman and Eileen May Young Willman.  She was formerly married to Merle Spaid of Meadville,  he survives. Louise was a graduate of East High School in Erie, PA. She continued her education graduating from Princeton University with a Bachelors degree in Business. She went onto receive her Bachelors and Masters in Education from Edinboro University. Through the years, Louise worked at PennBank until 1988, then onto the Regional Cancer Center from 1988-1991. From there, Louise went to The Mind, Body, Wellness Center from 1991-1993 and onto Penncrest School District from 1997-2013.   Louise enjoyed substitute teaching, helping at the Vo-Tech, card making , the Bag Ladies sewing club and keeping in touch with her former students. While teaching, she was a member of the Pennsylvania State Education Association and won the WalMart Teacher of the Year Award. Louise is survived by her two children, Sarah Spaid of Charlotte, NC and her son Travis and wife Melissa Spaid of Meadville. Louise was preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Eileen Willman and her maternal grandmother Anne Young. Family and friends are welcome to call on Monday January 23, 2018 from 6pm to 8pm and Tuesday from 2pm until the time of the funeral service at 4pm at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home & Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville, PA with Rev. Jeff Bobin of the Littles Corners United Methodist Church officiating. Memorials can be made to the Crawford County Humane Society.
