Lyle Raymond Williams age 76, of Meadville died suddenly on Tuesday, July 14, 2015. He was born on April 29, 1939 to John S. and Lena M. (Lesh) Williams, both of whom prededed him in death. Lyle was born and raised in the Franklin Area. He married Ruth A. "Dolly" Burnheimer on October 14, 1961. They were together for 53 years. Lyle was a retired U.S. Navy veteran. He worked for 26 years as a spinner at AVTEX Fibers, and then retired from Universal Wells as a dispatcher. He was an avid bowler for many years. He is remembered for his years of bowling in the Merchants League, of which he was secretary. He was a member of the Crawford County Bowling Hall of Fame; his dedication to compiling lifetime statistics for area bowlers was much appreciated, and is still used to this day. In addition to his wife, Lyle is survived by a daughter, Tammy Williams of Meadville; a son and daughter-in-law-Todd and Dawn (May) Williams of Thompson, N.D.; a granddaughter and grandson, Eric and Katie (Williams) Laidley, and a great granddaughter (the most beautiful girl ever) Mya Michele Laidley, all of Fargo, N.D. . He is also survived by a sister Glenda Tock , a brother Claire Williams, and numerous nieces and nephews. Lyle was preceded in death by a brother Duane Williams and a sister, Loraine Siggins. Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 17, 2015 from 4-7 PM at the Dickson Funeral Home and Crematory 130 N. Second St. Conneaut Lake. On Saturday July 18, 2015 friends will be received from 10 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11AM in the Dickson Funeral Home; the Rev. Lee D. Penvose of Greenville, PA Officiating. Lyle will be laid to rest in Geneva Cemetery, Geneva , Pa with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family of Lyle R. Williams, respectfully requests that memorials be made to the: Animal Welfare League, 812 Youngstown Kinsman Road SE, Vienna, Ohio 44473 The funeral arrangements for Mr. Williams have been entrusted to the Dickson Funeral Home and Crematory, 130 N.
