Margaret Black

Margaret J. “Mugsy” Black, age 80, of Titusville, PA passed away Friday, October 23, 2026, with her family by her side. She was born on February 2, 1946, in Titusville, PA to the late Esmond and Rose See. She married Charles Black on July 23, 1965. He preceded her in death on March 13, 2013.

Margaret graduated from Titusville High School. She worked at Sylvania until she became a stay at home mom. She loved attending her granddaughters sports events and spending time with her family. She loved to garden; her favorite things to grow were beets and brussel sprouts. Margaret loved her pets, Mazzie and Pepe. She loved watching the ID channel and reading her favorite author Mary Higgins Clark. She loved making homemade French fries and cherry cheesecake for her husband Charles and they were both good. She loved to be outside, whether that was walking or riding the four-wheeler down to her sister’s house many years ago. She was a determined woman with a funny sense of humor.

She is survived by her daughter, Shelly Proper of Meadville, PA; two granddaughters, Grace Proper of Meadville, PA and Kait Proper of Columbus, PA; her sister, Beverly Young and her brothers, Edward See, Robert See and Richard See and many nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Scott Nicols.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles Black, her three sisters Ruth See, Joan Nicols and Patricia Henderson and three brothers Mark See, Victor See and William See.

As per Margaret’s wishes, there will be no public services at this time. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
