Margaret E. Gandziarski

Margaret E. (Albaugh) Gandziarski, 84, of Cochranton, formerly of West Hickory, PA, passed away November 27, 2018 at Meadville Medical Center.  She was born on January 10, 1934 to Merle and Elizabeth (Anthony) Albaugh in Creighton, PA.  She married Joseph A. Gandziarski on June 27, 1953. He survives. Margaret was a 1953 graduate of East Deer Frazier High School. She was a homemaker and of Protestant faith.  Margaret enjoyed painting, ceramics, baking, crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Joseph; a daughter Jean Steiger of Cochranton, PA; two sons, Charles Gandziarski of Cochranton, PA and Joseph Gandziarski of Erie, PA; three grandchildren, John (Louise) Gandziarski of Newport News, VA, Tonya Boyd of Atlantic, PA, and Robbie (Nicole) Mumford of Greenville, PA; six great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her son-in-law Max Steiger; grandchildren, Stacey Mumford and Leland Gandziarski; and three sisters, Mary Lou Cook, Anna Jean Riggs, and Effie McCanna. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hempfield Township Volunteer Fire Department, 20 6th Ave., Greenville, PA 16125.
