Marian Clara Doubet

Marian C. Doubet Girardat (Babe) age 87, of Round Top Road, Meadville, PA, passed on December 24, 2014, at home surrounded by her family. She was born August 2, 1927 in Meadville. She was the daughter of Pete Girardat and Elizabeth Besanson (Girardat). Marian married Raymond A. Doubet on April 28, 1948; Raymond preceded her in death October 11, 1976. She graduated from Cochranton High School in 1944. Prior to working at the Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community, she was a homemaker. She was a member of the Catholic Faith and enjoyed reading, traveling, knitting and crocheting ( she was passionate about crocheting and had won many ribbons). Survivors include: 3 daughters: Linda Doubet of Meadville; Mary and Carl Phillips of Oswego, N. Y.; and Dorothy and Bob Walk of Meadville; 6 sons; Thomas and Charleen Doubet of Edinboro, Gerald and JoAnn Doubet of Meadville, Gene and Candace Doubet of Conneautville, Joseph and Carolyn (Lynn) Doubet of Guys Mills, Paul and Monique Doubet of Cambridge Springs, and John and Susan Doubet of Meadville. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Genevieve Lyons of Cochranton and Minnie McClelland of Golden, Colorado; and 1 brother Francis Girardat (an infant) of Cochranton. Calling hours will be held on Monday December 29, 2014 from 4 to 7 at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory 614 Baldwin Street Meadville, PA .
